The right to food and nutrition is a basic human right.
Project El Pan stands on the principles of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights in general, with a particular focus on articles 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Accordingly, and to support the Cuban people, Project El Pan, through the voices and leadership of the Cuban American community and in tune with the understanding of hospitality as practiced by their ancestors, will lead and organize collaborative efforts for the American people to, as good neighbors, provide relief to the Cuban people in the form of food relief, and daily essentials such as over the counter medications, and feminine hygiene products.
In line with the vision and mission of Cubanakoa Foundation, Project El Pan calls for practices that allow sovereign food and basic essential goods for the Cuban people. Cubanakoa Foundation proudly partners with Project El Pan in this mission.
